Cefuroxime is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate bacterial infections in children. It is particularly effective for:

Application Tips:

Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, and occasional vomiting. Some children may develop a mild "diaper rash" (thrush) due to a localized fungal overgrowth. If your child develops a severe skin rash, watery/bloody diarrhea, or swelling of the face, stop the medication immediately and seek emergency medical care.
Before Mixing: Store the dry powder in a cool, dry place below 30°C.
After Mixing: Store the liquid suspension in the refrigerator (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze.
Discard Date: Any unused portion must be discarded 10 to 14 days after mixing, even if liquid remains.
Q: Why does the suspension taste slightly bitter?
A: Cefuroxime is naturally very bitter. While Fidson uses flavoring, it is best to follow the dose with a small drink of juice or milk to clear the taste.
Q: Can I use this for my child's "Cough and Cold"?
A: No. Colds and most coughs are caused by viruses. Cefuroxime is an antibiotic and will not work against viruses.
